By the end of this module, students will be able to:
Interpersonal Communication
- ask and answer simple questions about their age and birthday
- identify and correctly write down Swahili numbers (0-9) when heard or seen
- ask and give their phone numbers
Presentational Speaking
- introduce themselves and state their age and birthday to an audience
- respond to the question by stating their own (or a pre-assigned) phone number.
Interpretive Listening
- understand and respond to basic spoken questions and statements about numbers, age, and birthdays.
Cultural Understanding
- recognize and understand basic cultural practices related to celebrating birthdays in some Swahili-speaking communities.
