You have been asked to complete a class project in groups. You approach two classmates with whom you would like to form a group. Greet them politely and exchange phone numbers.
Malaika is a new student and has asked you to show her around campus. Exchange phone numbers so you can coordinate a time to meet up later.
Cultural Note
In many cultures around the world, it is polite to know someone a bit before requesting/asking for their phone number. The phrase “Ninaomba nambari yako ya simu? Or Tafadhali nipe mabari yako ya simu” (May I please have your phone number?) is a more polite/formal alternative. |
