Unit 3: Miscellaneous

Instructions

Each of the progressions includes five chords:

  1. an initial tonic,
  2. a mystery predominant,
  3. a cadential 6/4,
  4. a dominant chord, and
  5. a concluding tonic.

Your job is to figure out what the mystery predominant chord (chord #2) is. Listen to each progression, think about quality and individual voices as necessary, and circle which of the options represents the second chord.
