42 Scale Ensemble

Divide into four groups to perform this scale ensemble:

  • The descant is performed in the highest register of the keyboard: play do with I and IV chords and ti with V chords.
  • The scale begins before the other voices, starting in the middle register and ascending two octaves. Don’t forget to repeat the top note and follow the rhythm indicated here.
  • The chords are in the tenor register and use closest position triad inversions.
  • The bass line is very low on the keyboard, playing chord roots.
