Lycaon and Daphne

Our readings in Ovid and in Book 1 focuses on two tales from the OM, about Lycaon and Daphne. The goal of this is to think about how the OM responds to Ovid’s Metamorphoses and then moralizes. It’s important that when you read for today, you first read the stories first in Ovid, and then in the OM. but that you hit pause and wait to read the moralizations until you have completed the commonplace book prep for today, because it invites you to guess how the OM might moralize.
